Meet Our Brand-New VW Polo R-Line – The New Progression Driving School Car

Our students loved learning to drive in our previous VW Polo R-Line, so when the time came to choose our next driving school car, there was one obvious question:

Why change a winning formula?

We’re delighted to introduce the newest addition to Progression Driving School – our brand-new Volkswagen Polo R-Line, ready to take to the roads of Windermere, Kendal and the surrounding South Lakes.

A New Polo for a New Generation of Learner Drivers

Choosing the right car is an important part of providing a great learning experience.

Our previous VW Polo R-Line proved incredibly popular with our students. Its manageable size, comfortable driving position and easy-to-use controls made it a great environment in which to build confidence behind the wheel.

So rather than changing direction, we’ve upgraded to the latest generation VW Polo R-Line, complete with additional Black Edition styling.

It may look a little different from the bright orange Progression Polo that many people around the Lake District will recognise, but underneath the new silver and black look, the philosophy remains exactly the same – providing a comfortable, modern car in which our students can learn and develop their driving skills.

Manual Driving Lessons in a Modern VW Polo R-Line

The new Progression Polo is a manual, continuing our focus on providing professional manual driving lessons across the local area.

For a learner driver, having a car that feels comfortable and approachable can make a real difference, particularly during those important first few lessons.

The Polo's compact dimensions make it well suited to learning everything from basic car control and manoeuvres through to town driving, rural roads and the varied driving conditions we encounter throughout the Lake District.

Built for Learning Around Windermere and Kendal

One of the advantages of learning to drive in the South Lakes is the sheer variety of roads and driving environments available.

Progression Driving School provides manual driving lessons in Windermere, Kendal, Ambleside, Bowness-on-Windermere, Grasmere, Oxenholme and Staveley, giving our students experience of everything from quieter residential roads to busy town centres, rural roads and the A591.

As students progress, that variety allows lessons to develop naturally from the fundamentals of controlling the car through to dealing confidently and safely with more complex real-world driving situations.

Our new Polo will soon become a very familiar sight on those roads.

Although the car is changing, our approach isn't.

Progression Driving School remains focused on providing friendly, patient and supportive driving tuition, helping each student develop at their own pace and become a safe and confident independent driver.

The new car is simply the latest part of that experience.

We're really pleased with how the new Progression Polo has turned out, and we can't wait to welcome our first students behind the wheel.
